Inverness 50 miles.

Located 50 miles north of Inverness, Lairg is centrally placed for touring the remote and beautiful Northern Highlands. The area has much to offer the visitor, from fine golf courses to outstanding fishing, some of the finest hill walking and mountaineering country in the land and the grand castle at Dunrobin, the home of the Earls of Sutherland. The castle, overlooking the sea, boasts a magnificent formal garden inspired by the grandeur of Versailles in France. Another attraction not to be missed is the Falls of Shin with its restaurants, shopping areas, Highland craft shops, forest walks and tumbling river. In the immediate area are several other outdoor adventure activities including falconry, bird watching and photography, woodcarving, geology, kayaking, or even dry stone walling. For the true Highland experience you won't find much better.

LOCH SHIN HOLIDAY HOMES

Lairg 4 miles. A delightful collection of three charming detached properties, set in a stunning position on the shore of beautiful Loch Shin, just four miles from Lairg. With wonderful panoramic views across the loch and mountains beyond, these modern and spacious holiday homes offer cosy and well appointed ground floor accommodation, with the high standard of furnishing complementing the bright and airy decor. Guests have use of the jetty and rowing boats on Loch Shin, ideal for fishing or just drifting on the water. Perfectly placed for touring the North and North Western Highlands, these cottages also provide an ideal base for exploring the immediate area's many delights. After a hard day's exploration there are several hotels, pubs and restaurants close to hand in which to enjoy your evenings. Relaxation assured in this beautiful setting!

The Property: Oak

Lairg 4 miles. A superb detached property by the shore at Loch Shin. The property offers fantastic family accommodation including an ensuite bathroom, feature window in the sitting room and sun deck - ideal for taking in the lovely views. Guests have use of the jetty and rowing boats on Loch Shin. A wonderful holiday base! Note: The property is accessed via 5 steps, with ramp access for the less mobile.

Accommodation

All ground floor. Three bedrooms: 1 x double with ensuite (shower, washbasin and WC), 1 x twin, 1 x single. Bathroom with bath (with shower over), washbasin and WC. Large well equipped kitchen with dining area and patio door leading to sun decking. Spacious sitting room with dining area and feature window overlooking the loch.

Amenities

Oil fired central heating throughout. Electric oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, colour TV, DVD player, stereo/CD player etc. Washer/dryer in separate utility room. All fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Shared use of large garden with garden furniture. Ample off road parking. Pets welcome. Shop and pub 4 miles.
